Aretha Franklin will perform at this summer's Essence Music Festival in New Orleans.
She joins previously-announced performers Mary J Blige, Fantasia, Eve, Kevin Hart and Ledisi for the festival, which will take place from July 6 to July 8.

This year's concert series will be held at the New Orleans Superdome.
The first Essence Music Festival was held in 1995 and proved so successful that it became a yearly event.
Chris Brown, Kanye West, Boyz II Men, Alicia Keys and Chris Rock have all performed at the festival in the past 17 years.
