What a surprise, Adele's '21' occupies also this week's top spot of the global album chart. The megaseller moved another 429.000 copies, enough for a 36th week at the tip. On the year-to-date list
the album is a lonely hero far away from the competiton with 4,01 million sales. The nearest competitors, Coldplay's 'Mylo Xyloto' and Lana Del Rey's 'Born To Die', follow with only 0,90 million, respectively 0,89 million sales. Back to the current hitlist, where Japanese rock-trio Ikimonogakari bows at no.2 with this week's highest debut 'Newtral'. It's the band's fifth studio-album and sold 193.000 copies in its initial week. South Korean teenie-sensation Big Bang follows at no.5 with 'Alive' (104.000 sales). The band becomes more and more success outside of South Korea, 'Alive' ranks in various Asian countries and even in the USA. Sandwiched between this two Asian releases slides Whitney Houston's 'Greatest Hits' from no.2 to no.3 (down 27% to 174.000 sales) and Lana Del Rey's 'Born To Die' slips at no.4 (down 10% to 104.000 sales). WZRD, a duo consisting of rapper Kid Cudi and producer Dot Da Genius, opens at no.7 with the self-titled album (69.000 sales). Outside the top ten arrives Cranberries' new effort 'Roses' at no.19 with 46.000 sales and another Whitney Houston set, 'Just Whitney', is for the first time on the tally at no.32 with 33.000 sales. Various newly editions of Pink Floyd's masterpiece 'The Wall' are the reason, that the album returns at no.11 this week with 59.000 sales. Originally released in 1979 'The Wall' sold more than 30 million copies to date and ranks at no.18 on the All Time Chart.  COMPLETE GLOBAL ALBUM CHART
