Justin Bieber sells big with new single 'Boyfriend'
Justin Bieber beats Black Eyed Peas, Lady GaGa first week single sales
Justin Bieber has reached number two on the highest first week single sales list of all-time with his latest track.
Since going on sale in the US last Monday (March 26), the singer has shifted 520,000 copies of his new single 'Boyfriend', according to MTV.
However, the sales feat hasn't managed to break the record, which is held by Flo Rida's 'Right Round' with first week numbers of 636k.
'Boyfriend' is now placed above Black Eyed Peas' 'Boom Boom Pow' (465k downloads) and Lady GaGa's 'Born This Way' (447k downloads) on the biggest first week sales list of all-time.
The single's accompanying music video is expected to be released in the coming weeks.
