The album moved 438.000 copies in its initial week and that's slightly less than the former album 'Working On A Dream', which sold 470.000 copies in its first week at retail and landed also at the no.1 spot (week 6, 2009). Bruce ends (temporarily) Adele's (almost) endless domination with her megaseller '21'. It slides at no.2 after a 19% sales decrease to 348.000 copies, but it has a good chance to return at the summit next week. With total sales of 19,66 million it climbs at no.71 of the ALL TIME CHART. Due a spectacular online discount-campaign in the USA, some albums showing massive sales growth this week: Coldplay's 'Mylo Xyloto' rockets from no.14 to no.3 (up 149% to 136.000), Lady Antebellum's 'Own The Night' shoots from no.38 to no.5 (up 335% to 113.000), Drake's 'Take Care' rises from no.27 to no.11 (up 70% to 61.000) and Lil Wayne's 'Tha Carter IV' returns at no.24 (up 170% to 37.000). Bruce Springsteen leads 10 debuts on this week's tally: far behind at no.8 bows Jin Akanishi, former member of J-pop act Kat-Tun, with 'Japonicana' (70.000), ingenious singer / songwriter Katie Melua follows at no.9 with 'Secret Symphony' (69.000) and French rap act Sexion D'Assaut opens at no.10 with 'L'apogée' (67.000). Outside the top 10 debuting Military Wives' 'In My Dreams' at no.12 (56.000), the compilation to the Canadian casting show 'Star Académie 2012' at no.14 (54.000), Scandal's 'Scandal Show' at no.20 (42.000), Andrew Bird's 'Break It Yourself' at no.28 (35.000), Luke Bryan's 'Spring Break 4: Suntan City EP' at no.36 (30.000) and the soundtrack to 'Project X' at no.38 (27.000). COMPLETE GLOBAL ALBUM CHART With a 3% points increase Gotye feat. Kimbra's 'Somebody That I Used To Know' defends its lead on the global track chart for a third week in a row.
